Now that August is here, it is time to start thinking about my fall classes – and yes I know I should have started earlier – but…….. Anyway, I am very interested in retooling my history of the modern era class. I have been teaching it for eight years and while I have made some modifications to it over the years, it needs a major overhaul. One area that I have been investigating a bit is lecturecasting. I have recorded some lectures for podcasting, but still need some work in this area. I was happy to see that ProfHacker offered some help in his article “5 Lecturecasting Tools that I Can’t Live Without (and Why)” and I picked up some new ideas to pursue in the neext week or so.
