I admit that with work, I have fallen a bit behind on posting the results of my potato chip research. So, today I pressed on and tried out potato chip #3, which was Lays Smokey Bacon. I have to admit that I am in agreement with Jim Gaffigan that bacon is great on everything, so I was expecting great things from the Lays Smokey Bacon potato chips. To their credit, they did have a strong bacon flavor. Â Unfortunately, their taste reminded me more of the artificial bacon bits you can buy for salads, than real bacon (I realize that this should not have been a big surprise). The more of them I tried, the less I liked them and so I gave them a ****(4) out of 10. Maybe the next potato chip will be better, and since I bought them already, I can tell you that it is an unusual flavor.
