Image Databases

Classes started today at IUP. While I was in my office, between meeting with students needing overrides into full classes and dealing with faculty who had various classroom issues, I used some time to surf the web looking for suggestions on storing images. PKAP has amassed a fairly large collection of images over the last few years and it has become difficult to use them or find the appropriate image. What we need, in an ideal world, is a program that can handle thousands of images, allow users to tag images with multiple keywords for searching, be accessed online, is fairly quick, and is affordable for us (inexpensive). This turned out to be difficult even to search for. I found lots of sites but most seemed way too expensive, or way too complicated. I finally found a possible program to investigate further after talking to my IT support guys.
