Today has been a slow day with me working on the syllabi for my classes and trying to create my pre-test for my Digital History class. I am happy to report that IUP has added a 3rd island to our growing collection of SL islands. Our newest island is owned by the Robert E. Cook Honors College. The nice thing about this island is that it is totally built and run by IUP Honors College students. They have done a nice job on it in a very short amount of time. They are still working on it, but feel free to stop by and check it out – go to IUP’s Crimson Island and head south or teleport directly to the Whitmyre region. I am going to try to teach some of my spring Honors College freshman core class in SL and see how it goes.
In other SL news, IUP held a beginning and an advanced SL workshop today and 22 people attended each session, another good turnout. I also bought a headset to use for voice communication in SL and can’t wait to try it out this weekend.
