Today was a very productive day. The geophysical work finished up. We had a geophysical team condcting a resistivity survey for us up on Vigla and down below the hill on the plains near the coastline. The initial results are extremely promising. In fact, because of the results we reexplored around the edge of Vigla and noticed that the heavy rains over the prior two weeks had exposed parts of a very solid fortress wall. Today, we sent a team out to take GPS points on the wall, so that we can include it on our GIS maps. In addition, field teams have discovered several figurine fragments on Vigla, so that means we need to examine our field survey data carefully so that we can better understand the changes that took place in the area.
